The Data Protection Policy determines the rules of data protection in Restaurant PREZA, Gdinj 197, Island of Hvar 21467. It determines the rules of personal data protection and refers to the data protection rules prescribed by the GDPR and other national regulations on personal data protection.

Principles of personal data protection

  • Principle of lawfulness – the processing of personal data must always be based on at least one legal basis;
  • Principle of fairness – respecting the specific circumstances of each relationship, applying all adequate measures to protect personal data and not preventing the data subjects from exercising their rights
  • Principle of purpose limitation – personal data may only be processed for previously defined justified purposes;
  • Principle of data minimisation – personal data must be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed;
  • Principle of accuracy and transparency – the open and transparent data processing of data subjects;
  • Principle of integrity and confidentiality, the application of a “need to know basis” – implementation of the necessary organizational and technical measures to ensure the restriction of access to personal data in order to prevent unauthorized or illegal processing;
  • Principle of accuracy – the processing of accurate and updated personal data;
  • Principle of storage limitation – storing data in a form that allows the identification of data subjects only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed, and longer only if permitted by regulations.
  • Principle of accuracy – taking into account the accuracy and timeliness of the data and deleting inaccurate data as far as possible.

Data that may be collected

  • Contact data – name, title, address, contact number, email address.
  • Use of the website – the way you use our site, including data collected through cookies and other tracking technologies
  • Photos and videos – for the purpose of promotion and marketing, we can take photos or record videos that may be published on the website of the restaurant and social networks
  • Sales and service information – purchase information, including customer user identity, account or contract number, and information about the use of our services, including complaints and requests
  • Customer history information – customer satisfaction level, offers received, purchase data including items and the date of purchase, delivery date, warranty information, campaign response, complaint history, service history

How we collect personal data

Restaurant Preza collects your data in the following cases:

  • if you contact us directly through any website to request information or an offer for our products or services
  • if you purchase a product or service directly from us
  • if you respond to our direct marketing campaigns, e.g. by filling in the data entry form on our website
  • if our partners provide us with your data in a permitted manner
  • if we obtained your personal data from other sources, e.g. from intermediaries for business addresses
  • if you are under the age of 16, please do not provide us with any information without the consent of a parent or guardian

RESTAURANT PREZA uses “cookies and other technologies that facilitate the delivery of content depending on your areas of interest, the processing of reservations or requests and/or the analysis of the characteristics of your visits. Cookies cannot be used to reveal your personal identity.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files that web browsers save to our computer when accessing individual websites to enable the additional functionality of those sites. Rights of data subjects

  • Right to information:the data subject has the right to be informed about the processing of his or her data and its purposes. 
  • Right to access information: the data subject has the right to access the data processed if they relate to him or her.
  • Right to rectification: the data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data related to him or her. The data subject also has the right to supplement incomplete personal data.
  • Right of deletion: the data subject has the right to request Restaurant Preza to delete personal data related to him or her You have the right to request the deletion of personal data related to you if one of the following conditions is met:
    1. your personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which we collected or processed it
    2. you have withdrawn the consent on which the processing is based even if there is no other legal basis for the processing
    3. you have objected to the processing of your personal data and if there are no stronger legitimate reasons for the processing
    4. the personal data has been processed illegally
    5. the personal data must be deleted in order to comply with a legal obligation.
  • Right to data portability: the data subject has the right to receive the personal data related to him or her in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data 
  • Right to object: when RESTAURANT PREZA processes data on the basis of its legitimate interests that are stronger than the interests of the respondent, the data subject has the right to object to the processing of personal data that relates to him or her on the basis of his or her special situation at any time.
  • The right to restrict processing: the data subject has the option to request RESTAURANT PREZA to exercise the right to restrict processing if he or she disputes the accuracy of the personal data, considers the processing to be illegal and opposes the deletion of personal data and instead seeks a restriction on their use and if the data subject has objected to the processing and awaits confirmation as to whether the legitimate reasons of the data controller override the reasons of the data subject

In any case, data subjects have the right to:

  • file a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Officer,
  • file a complaint with the supervisory body (Personal Data Protection Agency) if they believe that their data protection rights have been violated
