Pleasure for all the senses perfectly describes Restaurant Preza in the Pokrivenik Cove on the northern part of the sunniest island in Croatia, the Island of Hvar.
An oasis of peace surrounded by olive trees, fig trees and lavender with a crystal-clear sea and tranquillity is the ideal place for a complete experience of the island. The position of Pokrivenik Cove is unique. It is located in the middle of the island, and yet offers perfect peace and isolation on beautiful beaches and in historic caves.
Creating an environment where guests can feel and experience the best of the Island of Hvar has been our goal for generations. Since its beginnings as a small family restaurant, Preza has not changed its commitment to and passion for quality and local ingredients transformed into simple dishes of the Hvar area.
Apart from food, we also nurture local quality and tradition through our wine list, so our menu includes top-notch wines from the best winemakers of Hvar, but also the most famous wines and varieties from other parts of Croatia and around the world.
The natural ambience makes Restaurant Preza a special and romantic venue. The interior design features pine and reeds and perfectly combines the natural and the luxurious, harmonizing perfectly with the tranquil cove. Every single piece of the handmade wooden cabanas right next to the seashore make for an amazing sight and an incredible experience.
Restaurant Preza also offers additional catering and yacht supply services.
We have had a connection to nautical tourism ever since the cove served as an old port for steamships on the Island of Hvar. Today, this area is used as a series of berths for guests who come to the restaurant by sailboat and yacht.
Even the name of the restaurant, “Preza”, which means stone pillars used for berthing boats, is testimony to the connection of the restaurant with the sea and guests from the sea.
Local and seasonal ingredients are the foundation of our cuisine, and our vision and desire are to present the experience of the island through authentic food prepared and presented at the highest level.
